Danish roof window manufacturer, VELUX, has signed “an end-to-end IT services transformation agreement” with HCL Technologies.

HCL will create and deliver a cloud-first, user-centric digital transformation programme that will enable VELUX to modernize its application and infrastructure estate. With increased agility and efficiency – and the ability to scale – VELUX intends to create greater innovation and IT excellence within its organisation.

Jesper Frederiksen, Vice President IT and Digital Enablement, VELUX Group said: “It’s essential that our growing global organization can operate with swift and seamless digital tools and capabilities.”

HCL’s most recent full year results showed the firm passed the $10bn milestone in its IT Services business. Alongside solid organic revenue growth, HCL has been adding depth to its portfolio with acquisitions. In January, it acquired Starschema (data engineering services, based in Hungary) and in December 2021 it acquired German consulting firm, Gesellschaft für Banksysteme GmbH, with cooperative bank, apobank. Earlier this month, HCL announced the acquisition of digital banking specialist, Confinale AG.
